I just got my windchime in the mail today and it sounds so wonderful. I went on the Woodstock website so I could listen to the sounds of the different chimes and decided on the GAS Gregorian Alto Chime. Amazon sent it right out and I am thrilled with my purchase. It sounds even better than it sounded on the website. I will probably buy another one for a different part of my yard. Truly beautiful music!!!

I recently received the Woodstock Percussion GAS Gregorian Alto Wind Chime. As the owner of several windchimes I must say this is my favorite. The sound is absolutely mesmorizing. The harmonic peaceful tones sound in the slightest breeze. I am ordering other chimes that harmonize with the Alto. If I only had one chime – this would be the one!

I purchased the chimes to put out by my mother’s grave. When I’m out there you can actually hear parts of the Amazing Grace song. It’s beautiful. Very well made chimes. These chimes can be heard all over the cemetery. Beautiful & peaceful!!! Love the way they look, love the way they sound…

I believe in quality, even if I have to pay a little extra for a product. These chimes, when a breeze hits it just right, actually play the first 6 notes of the hymn ‘Amazing Grace’. The sound is strong and the wood is beautiful. I liked it enough to buy another one for a gift!

This is very nicely made and the sound from it is magical. It is about 18 inches long, so a little smaller than I expected. But just like the modern small surround sound speakers, IT IS LOUD with a moderate breeze. I really don’t know how anyone could not think this item is anything but wonderful!

Pro: Beautifully crafted. Beautiful sound. Compact, and travel friendly.

Cons: When I recieved the chime, I realized that it does not sit evenly on an even surface. (Sad)

However, I have found a fix for that! I sticked two 3M small-size black rubber anti-slip mat on the base of my chime – My chime now seats comfortably on any solid surface top.

The Zenergy Solo Chime has a wonderfully beautiful resonating ring about it. I begin and end my mindfulness sessions with a gentle tap on the chime. It is perfect and also inexpensive compared to singing bowls, Intikin bells, clappers and other devices for summoning and ending mindful exercises. I highly recommend it.

Woodstock has the best sounding wind chimes I have owned. They can be tolerated by most anyone – even those who dislike the tinkling of most other chimes! Everyone who comes over comments on the beautiful sound of the chimes. Since they are properly pitched, musicians can even enjoy these! The baritone is my favorite, with its rich, warm lower tones.Don’t be taken back by their price – you get your money’s worth with chimes from Woodstock.

This chime was a gift for my wife last Spring. We loved it so much I’ve made all the different tones of Gregorian presents for special occasions. Now we have them all, so I’m starting at the top again to put more on the other side of the house. These need just a little wind to make a nice sound. The Baritone is amazing and worth getting first. The wind catcher is balanced nicely butit will take a bit more wind than for the smaller models. Consider putting it higher where more breezes will make it chime. Put it outside, near a window to enjoy the sounds indoors. A great and gentle addtiion to any outdoor setting.

The precision tuned chimes provide a pleasant concentration point. This well-made chime is a nice conversation piece, as well as a musical instrument (limited) and a meditation chime. Sounds great together or individually. Strike one, two or all bars to provide a pleasant tone to focus on.

I have owned Woodstock windchimes for many years. I’ve often given them for house warming gifts. When we bought our little place on the coast we decided a smaller windchime was needed. We searched and found this set. These are different, they are smaller yet sound great no tinny tinkling in the breeze we get a melodic and peaceful sound that seems to enhance the sound of the surf. I am a little concerned about the longevity of the chimes in the coastal environment – but nothing lasts forever especially when subjected to the salt air.

First, I will say that I would buy this again if given the opportunity. The product is as described…high quality and beautiful. The sound is wonderful. However, it does take more than a gentle breeze for these chimes to sound. I’m not sure why, but even when the “windcatcher” or “feather” is moving, it doesn’t always translate to enough movement to produce the ringing. I live in very windy Oklahoma and the chimes are silent most of the time. They did sound beautiful during the last thunderstorm, though! Maybe I need to hang them in a different location?? Or maybe we’re just having an unusual breezeless period?

In any case, I would have given these a 5 except for the amount of wind required for the chimes to sound.
