I recently received the Woodstock Percussion GAS Gregorian Alto Wind Chime. As the owner of several windchimes I must say this is my favorite. The sound is absolutely mesmorizing. The harmonic peaceful tones sound in the slightest breeze. I am ordering other chimes that harmonize with the Alto. If I only had one chime – this would be the one!

I have another Woodstock Percussion wind chime which I’m, really happy with, but this one is disappointing. Despite the product image showing a fairly sized striker wheel, it’s really a small wooden ball and it takes a strong wind to get this small ball to hit the tubes. It’s a beautiful piece to look at, but I hope they improve the striker to be big enough to cover the circumference of the tubes.

I have a few Woodstock chimes, and this one is the least expensive of my set. It’s cost is not indicative of its sound! It sounds beautiful and looks great hanging on my deck. I have no trouble with it at all, it sounds in mild breezes so the striker works fine, despite the issue others might have with it. It has nice rich tones (the Amazing Grace one nearby has lighter, higher tones). If you want an affordable entry-level priced chime with the wonderful sounds that Woodstock chimes give you, this is the one to get and start your collection!

This is very nicely made and the sound from it is magical. It is about 18 inches long, so a little smaller than I expected. But just like the modern small surround sound speakers, IT IS LOUD with a moderate breeze. I really don’t know how anyone could not think this item is anything but wonderful!

I got these as a gift for a friend and was surprised at how beautiful they were. I guess I was expecting a smaller set of chimes, but they really are a nice, full size and have a beautiful, clear sound. The shape is lovely, and a nice change from the traditional windchime hang. I have two Woodstock chimes and the quality is great. The sound these chimes makes is even better. Don’t get cheap chimes. You cheat your ears and soul. These chimes do have a unique shape and size, a lttle small but still substantial.
